Look, affiliate marketing is still a decent option for making money online. Now it does have some cons to it and a few difficulties, but I will get to that later.
First off, let me share with you the 4 reasons I have as to why it isn’t too late for you to start with affiliate marketing.
1. People Are Buying Stuff Online More Than Ever
Let’s be real, you and I have bought stuff online. And so has about a billion or so also done (multiple times, may I add). I mean, people are spending about 730 billion dollars a year worldwide.
That simply means that there are more opportunities than ever to make money online. You just have to go out there and sell stuff.
2. The Internet Has Made a Global Marketplace For You.
You can just be at home and sell something to people who are on the other side of the planet. In other words, you can reach anyone with a computer, and a dream.
Businesses can like Amazon can sell their products to people all around the world. And so can you.
Of course, they have a whole brand and lots of connections and traffic, etc. How will you be able to sell anything?.
Simple, get traffic or a following and recommend your product to them, and they buy it. Easier said than done, but that is how affiliate marketing pretty much works in very simple terms.
3. Affiliate Marketing Won’t Go Anywhere
My third reason why it isn’t too late for you to start with affiliate marketing is the fact that affiliate marketing won’t go anywhere. It won’t really get old or a bad method.
Think about it, imagine you run this multimillion-dollar business. You are looking for a way to get more customers. And you find an affiliate marketer who comes and tells you they want to recommend and sell YOUR product for a commission of 10% wouldn’t you say yes?
Now you might have noticed the small earning of 10%. That is one of the downsides of affiliate marketing. You have to sell a lot to make a living out of it.
There are business who offer well over 10%, some even 75%. But generally you want a following or some sort of source of traffic so you can kinda have guaranteed customers.
But there are a few things that just makes affiliate marketing an excellent option for making some money online.
4. Affiliate Marketing Lets You Avoid The Hard Parts
If you decide to become an affiliate marketer. You won’t have to worry about inventory, shipment, etc. You know, all that annoying stuff that no one really wants to even think about.
Honestly, it is a good reason why people are still using affiliate marketing.
Is Affiliate Marketing Even Profitable??
The answer is yes. Like if you make 100% organic traffic, it is profitable if you are making a few customers.
The real question is if you can make a living out of affiliate marketing. And the answer is still yes. You could argue that affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to earn money from home
But it does require a decent amount of quality traffic or a big following. Although let’s just be honest here it’s not the best way to become a millionaire or anything.
You can make a living out of it yes
It’s not impossible, there are many affiliate marketers who are making a living out of it. Like Neil Patel or Matt Diggity. Both are making 7 figures (if not more).
Neil Patel, who is both successful with his websites and his SEO tool Ubersuggest, also got a decent following on YouTube and other social media platforms.
Or Matt Diggity who owns several 7 figure websites. And has his own training program. One successful site he made is The Affiliate Lab. And has a decent following on YouTube as well.
And that does take quite some time, sadly. Honestly, you shouldn’t go 100% affiliate marketing. If you make a website, use ads or maybe even e-commerce to make some extra cash.
